Funding was provided by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering for awards for students and early investigators to present their work at MICCAI 2020. All NIH awardees were US-based with focus on minority groups and underrepresented populations at the conference. The awards covered the cost of the registration fees to the MICCAI 2020 conference and satellite events, providing our awardees with an opportunity to attend the meetings, foster professional development and identify collaborations in an established international community. At MICCAI 2020, we had 36 NIH awards: 26 for students and 10 for other diverse early career scientists.
Funding for this conference was made possible in part by grant R13EB030422 from NIBIB. The views expressed in written conference materials or publications and by speakers and moderators do not necessarily reflect the official policies of the NIH; nor does mention by trade names, commercial practices, or organizations imply endorsement by the U.S. Government.
